Excavator Shipping Worldwide
From compact mini excavators to 200+ ton mining-class machines — we handle the full logistics chain: ocean freight, EPA compliance, customs, and last-mile delivery.
Every Class of Excavator
We ship excavators of all sizes and configurations. Each class has unique shipping requirements — we know them all.
Mini Excavators
1–8 tons. Compact machines for tight spaces. Usually containerized in standard 20' or 40' containers for maximum cost efficiency.
Mid-Size Excavators
8–40 tons. The workhorses of construction. Typically shipped on flat racks or via RoRo depending on the route and port capabilities.
Large Excavators
40–90 tons. Require flat rack or break-bulk shipping. Boom and arm may need to be partially disassembled for transport.
Mining Excavators
90–200+ tons. Ultra-class machines shipped as break-bulk or project cargo. Multi-piece disassembly, heavy-lift crane loading required.
Wheeled Excavators
10–25 tons. Self-propelled and ideal for RoRo shipping. Faster loading/unloading and lower freight costs on supported routes.
Long Reach Excavators
20–50 tons with extended booms. Require special securing and often flat rack transport due to the extended arm length.
Why Excavator Shipping Is Complex
Excavators present unique logistics challenges. Here's what most freight forwarders get wrong — and what we get right.
Weight Distribution
Uneven weight from the counterweight and boom requires precise load planning to prevent shifting during ocean transit.
EPA Engine Compliance
Every non-road engine imported to the US must meet EPA Tier standards. We handle Form 3520-1, emissions data, and CBP coordination.
Oversize Inland Transport
Most excavators exceed standard road limits. We secure oversize permits, pilot cars, and specialized lowboy trailers for last-mile delivery.
Fluid Management
Hydraulic fluid, diesel, and coolant must be drained or managed per IMDG regulations for ocean freight. We handle all prep.
Trusted by Operators Worldwide
We have experience shipping excavators from every major manufacturer — OEM and aftermarket.
