How to Find Your Tracking Number
Your SAE Imports tracking number was sent to you when your shipment was confirmed. Here's where to look:
Booking Confirmation Email
Check the email you received from us when your shipment was booked. Your tracking number is listed in the subject line and in the shipment details section.
Bill of Lading (B/L)
Your Bill of Lading contains the container number and booking reference. Both can be used to track your heavy equipment through our system.
Contact Your Account Manager
If you can't find your tracking number, contact your SAE Imports account manager directly. We'll pull up your shipment details immediately.
Understanding Your Shipment Status
Heavy equipment shipments go through several stages from origin to delivery. Here's what each status means.
Booking Confirmed
Your shipment has been booked and a slot is reserved on the vessel. We are coordinating with the origin agent for pickup and loading.
In Transit to Port
Your equipment is being transported from the origin location to the departure port. For oversize cargo, this involves specialized lowboy or RGN trailers.
Loaded on Vessel
Your equipment is secured aboard the ship. For flat rack or RoRo cargo, the machine is lashed per IMO standards. Ocean transit typically takes 10–35 days depending on route.
Arrived at Destination Port
Your vessel has arrived. We are coordinating customs clearance, EPA inspection (if applicable), and port release procedures.
Customs Clearance
Our licensed customs broker is processing your import documentation. For heavy equipment, this includes HTS classification and any EPA compliance certificates.
Out for Delivery
Your equipment has cleared customs and is loaded on a lowboy or flatbed for final delivery to your site. Pilot cars and oversize permits are coordinated as needed.
